retrospective study of maternal and fetal outcome in abruptio placentae at a tertiary care hospital in Jharkhand

Introduction: Placental abruption, defined as the premature separation of placenta, complicates approximately 1% births. In normal pregnancies, placental occurs immediately after birth, while in pregnancies complicated by placenta begins to detach before birth. abruption is due rupture uterine spiral artery.1Bleeding into decidua leads placenta. Materials and methods: A retrospective study was conducted at Department obstetrics Gynecology, Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Medical College, Dhanbad, Jharkhand from January 2021 December 2021. Total number deliveries were 5700. abruptio cases 100. From case sheets, details patient like age, parity maternal high-risk factors collected. Patients with other causes APH previa extra excluded. All patients underwent a complete obstetrical examination clinical workup including history, general physical abdominal pelvic examination. Detailed obstetric history obtained high- risk PIH, GDM, polyhydramnios noted. Results: Maximum no. (40%) between 31 35 years.
